URLwire.com Gets Links for Client’s Site

I had been working with Eric Ward to post an online Press Release announcing a client’s new site since September. Ward is a linking and publicity strategist and host a variety of online publicity web site.

By posting a Press Release on urlwire.com, the client got 10-15 inbound links to their site. Here are a few:

Email Distribution; Ward sent 411 one-to-one private e-mails to his personal e-mail lists that were publications that were appropriate for this announcement.

URLwire Network Posting (Web, feed, Blog, Group: RPM now has at least six new links to your site courtesy of URLwire:

The above headline link will be scraped and syndicated by several large news syndication services, like www.moreover.com , who may also include your site in their “Cool Sites” newsfeed.

Each launch alert Ward posts to the URLwire site also receives several hundred reads from librarians/journalist reviewers every day, and the URLwire homepage will have 7 million readers in 2008.

The client’s web site traffic doubled during this time in December, according to Google Analytics log.

Note that not every click from my URLwire site shows up as a referral from URLwire.com, which was the 6th highest referral site for December.
