Background: Resort Property Management (RPM), a sister company of River Rock Lodge, is a vacation rental company located in Big Sky, Montana. It’s competitor is Big Sky Resort. It was a new and small company that had no market share.

Challenge: To obtain a marketing presence in Big Sky and throughout Montana. Begin branding creating “top of mind” exposure, locally and nationally

Results: Each item in the marketing plan has increased business for RPM. The postcards, web site and SEO increased RPM’s bottom line by 10% in one year. RPM’s web site is now ranked no. 3 on Google for certain keywords. Traffic grew 130% in six months.

Solutions:

• Created a strong identity that represents the company’s business philosophy and focus. RPM is locally owned and operated and it’s unique selling feature is the 24/7 local staff.

• Developed and designed a website to show 120 properties. Extensive SEO back end technology. Researched, analyzed and presented suggestions to client for web listings and ads. Traffic increased to 5,500 visits a month.

• Created “repeat customer” postcard, which was mailed to all previous customers from the last two years. Mailing was mailed in August to generate winter sales early. Depending on the offer, some postcards generated more than $20,000 in sales. Cost of postcard was under $1,000.

• Designed sales collateral material with folder, inserts and front desk card display.
